JOB OPPORTUNITY

ENSSURE, a bilateral initiative of Governments of Nepal and Switzerland, supports Nepalese youths, women, and men, gain social and economic benefits from a federalized TVET system. To the end, the project has been supporting 3 spheres of government to deliver TVET functions as per their constitutional mandate. The project is being implemented by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) at the federal level, by the Ministry of Social Development at the provincial level, and by municipalities within these provinces at the local level with technical support from Helvetas Nepal. Building on the experience of its phase 1, the project has been supporting the governments to scale up and institutionalize work-based learning, which includes Dual VET- Apprenticeship, Training with OJT and Workers’ Further Training. Besides, the project has been providing career guidance to youths, and students in grades 9 and 10.

Deputy Team Leader/Planning, Monitoring and Results Measurement Specialist

Duty Station: Project Support Unit (PSU), Bhaktapur. Required number: One

Job Purpose: This position is responsible to support Team Leader (TL) to provide strategic direction to ENSSURE project team to accomplish objectives and targets as stipulated in the project document. S/he will support TL in effective human resource management, efficient program, finance, and administration management of ENSSURE Project. Besides, S/he will lead the planning, monitoring, and results measurements portfolio in the project.

Required Education, Experience and Social Competence:

Master’s degree in Public Administration, Sociology, Population Studies, Development Studies or in a relevant field with minimum 7 years of experience working in planning/ monitoring, and results measurement with at least 3 years of experience in managing program human resources, finance, administration, and partners. S/he should also have at least 3 years of experience in supporting federal /province/local governments in planning and policy formulation. Prior experience in Technical Education and Vocational Training (TVET) will be an added advantage. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.

Duration: Till 15 July 2025 with the possibility of extension
