Medical Assistant- Data Processing

Under the overall supervision of Chief of Mission and direct supervision of Chief Migration Health Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties and responsibilities in relation to the MHD and MHAC in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Work actively with various data platforms in Use in IOM: MiMOSA, E-medical, UKTB and other medical software’s.
2. Enter data in an accurate and precise manner minimizing the data entry errors and biases.
3. Assist the MHD team in data entry and data use errands communicating findings to the Chief Migration Health Officer.
4. Perform regular QC and QA of the entered data in the data platforms.
5. Assist the Chief Migration Health Officer in preparation of weekly, monthly, periodic, and annual reports with use of Microsoft BI Power and other reporting tools.
6. Assist the Chief Migration Health Officer and MHD Nepal in regular update of the MHD information on the country MHD Website.
7. Proactively assist the team with preparations of the medical forms, laboratory labels, serology code books, chest x-ray labels and daily scheduling of MHD health assessments.
8. Assist in analysis of various tools pertaining to migrant flow and satisfaction in MHAC, including active monitoring of scheduling trends.
9. Proactively communicate errors in data platforms with the IOM HIM in coordination with Chief Migration Health Officer.
10. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited Institution with at least two years of relevant working experience; or,
- Secondary School Diploma with at least four years of relevant working experience.
- Certificate in IT/Data entry is an advantage.
Experience
- Experience in computer data entry, elaboration and analysis.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, as well as previous secretarial and archival experience, an added advantage.
- Previous working experience with NGOs or international organizations is an added advantage.
Skills
- Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute.
- High computer literacy in Windows and MS Office is mandatory, knowledge of web page design would be an asset.
Languages
- Fluency in English and Nepali (oral and written)
