FCA is the largest Finnish organization for development cooperation and for humanitarian assistance. FCA specializes in three thematic priority areas: Right to Peace, Right to Livelihood, and Right to Quality Education. FCA is recruiting for two positions for the implementation of the five-year TECSES project, Technical Support Cooperation to Education Sector in Nepal, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Finland. This project falls under the education sector collaboration between Finland and Nepal, aimed at enhancing teacher education, both pre-service and in-service, across all levels of governance. TECSES is fully aligned with the goals, strategies, and activities outlined in Nepal’s School Education Sector Plan (SESP 2030) and is further guided by Finland’s Country Programme for Development Cooperation in Nepal (2021-2024).

POSITIONS

1. Operations & Compliance Specialist

Required No.: 1
The Operations and Compliance Specialist for the TECSES project will assist the Project Support Unit (PSU) and HY+, the lead agency, by providing operational advisory support on office establishment and set up, human resource, administrative, procurement, security, and legal compliances.

Place of Assignment: Kathmandu, FCA Nepal Country Office, with frequent travels to field locations particularly Sudurpaschim, Karnali and Madhesh Provinces.

Start Date: As soon as possible
Position Term: Fixed term till 31 December 2025 with the possibility of extension.

2. Project Implementation Advisor

Required No.: 1
The Project Implementation Advisor for the TECSES project will assist the Project Support Unit (PSU) and HY+, the lead agency, by providing project management and thematic education support and technical advisory services.

Place of Assignment: Kathmandu, FCA Nepal Country Office, with frequent travels to field locations particularly Sudurpaschim, Karnali and Madhesh Provinces.

Start Date: 01 August 2024

Position Term: Fixed term till 31 December 2025 with the possibility of extension.
