Heifer Project Nepal (HPN) is a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty and caring for the earth by providing livestock, education, and other resources to help poor families become self-reliant. HPN invites applications from eligible Nepali citizens for “Value Chain for Inclusive Transformation of Agriculture Program (VITA) Project.

Program Coordinator-MELS – 1

Major Roles and Responsibility:

This position will provide technical support to strengthen monitoring, evaluation, learning and systems (MELS) of projects initiatives. S/he will be responsible for output monitoring, for designing study methodologies, independently implementing surveys via recommended digital tools, ensuring data quality, data analysis, and reporting findings to key stakeholders. This position requires more than 50% field works for capacity building of field staff and ensuring accuracy of reported data/figures by the project team.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in development studies, Business Administration, Economics or any other social science related field is required plus minimum 4 years’ of relevant experience in the similar position. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of project monitoring and evaluation
  • Understanding of the current M&E trends and especially M&E systems in development organizations

  • Good analytical skills and ability to verify information
  • Monitoring and evaluation techniques and processes
  • Effective operation of digital data management tools
  • Data collection and management Analytical and research skills
  • Good command over report writing in English Good interpersonal skills
  • Time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated person able to work without close supervision
  • Excellent computer knowledge and skills on MS Excel, Power BI
  • Professional level knowledge and skills on ArcGIS, and STATA or any data management and analysis software.
