United Mission to Nepal (UMN) is an international development organisation which aims to enable the poorest people living in poverty to transform their lives, leading towards fullness of life. Project Officer – Resilient Livelihoods (Woman only)
No. of position: 1
Location: Bajhang
The main purpose of this position is to take overall management of the livelihoods project “SRIJANA-II; Youth Employability” and to contribute to the implementation of UMN’s cluster strategy, technical backstopping in Livelihoods and Economic Development theme, relationship-building, and new concept development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Science, or Development Studies or relevant discipline with a minimum of five years of working experience in rural entrepreneurship development.
- Strong experience in agro and non-agro based enterprises scale-ups that support poverty alleviation.
- Experience and knowledge in networking, and partnership with the community, local government, service providers, and financial institutes for rural enterprise development are strongly desirable.
- Strong experience in project implementation including planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, developing proposals, and sustainability.
- Computer knowledgeable with e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet experience.
- Cross-cultural work experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills both in Nepali and English. Written English must be of an excellent standard.
